What Unmatched Capital is, and what it is not

Unmatched Capital is a media publication, not an investment firm. It does not manage money, raise funds or give investment advice, and nothing on this site is investment, tax or legal advice.

Unmatched Capital is not to be confused with two similar names. It is not affiliated with Unmatched Ventures, the venture capital firm based in Los Angeles. And it is unrelated to "unmatched capital payments", a term from the UK tax rules on payments out of offshore trusts (seeHMRC's Capital Gains Manual, CG38745).

Who publishes it

Unmatched Capital is published by Swelv, which builds fund lifecycle infrastructure for private capital: capital calls, distributions and investor reporting. Where a piece touches that territory, it says so, and it links to Swelv rather than competing with it.

How the pages are made

Every number is sourced in the sentence that uses it, with its date. Where a source gives a range, the page gives the range, never a midpoint. Estimates are labelled as estimates, and a figure from a firm selling the product it describes is labelled as that firm's claim. Pages on tax, trusts, estates and pensions name a practitioner reviewer and show the date they were last reviewed.
